BMW's motorcycle manufacturing division has launched the newly designed M 1000 RR special anniversary edition, which has exclusive design for the market in the world.
BMW Motorrad has introduced the anniversary edition of its M 1000 RR in the world markets. The new model celebrates BMW Motorrad's M division's anniversary of 50 years. It is named after the same model.
The bikes sport updated appearances and features unique Sao Paulo Yellow paint with some dark highlights that are visible on the bodies. The new color creates a unique design and distinguishes it from the standard M 1000 RR. It should be noted that the regular version of the motorcycle comes with white paint, accompanied by blue and red livery.
Other than painting, there aren't major changes to the motorcycle's appearance. But, the commemorative edition of the BMW M 1000 RR comes with a 'competition' option as standard.
It comes with extensive carbon fibre, an aluminium swingarm, and a digital code to allow access to access to the GPS sensor.
The bike is not subject to any mechanical adjustments, it is still to run on the 999cc liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder engine. The engine of the sports bike produces an impressive 205 horsepower as well as 113 Nm maximum torque.
The engine is able to propel the motorcycle from 0-100 kmph in 3.1 seconds. It can also reach the maximum speed of 302 km/h. The anniversary edition of the bike comes with carbon fiber wingslets
The hardware of the motorcycle is equipped with a manual-adjustable Marzocchi suspension. Another feature borrowed from the base S 1000 RR motorcycle are the tyres (Dunlop SportSmart TT).
The registrations for the brand new model have begun on the market in the world as of the 20th of May. But, it's uncertain if the bike will be offered on India in the Indian Peninsula or not.
The ex-showroom price is 42 lakhs the basic M 1000 RR is one of the priciest motorcycles in India. As per BMW Motorrad's configurator it is possible to purchase the M Competition pack adds Rs 3 lakhs to the price
