Mayank Patil and Shani Pandya are Co-Founders. Powertree is a solar energy startup based in Gujrat. As we all know that solar energy is our need and one of the most significant faults in solar energy installation is that it consumes a lot of space over the ground and that is the reason why people living in cities are unable to install solar plants in their homes.
For this reason, they were inspired by Trees and developed their own patented product “SOLAR TREE” which consumes 98% Less space than the other solar plants. You will be amazed to know that this tree also revolves like a sunflower which enables you to get 20% additional solar power. they can provide electricity to 4 homes at one time, and can also charge even bikes. Portree has set up its plants in 6 Cities.
Recently, They have installed the world’s highest-power solar tree. The team of this startup wants that in the future every EV, Electric device should get power from their Solar Tree.

If we take an example of Direct 2 Consumer Part, Then a 3KW Solar Panel is for Rs 1.20-1.50 Lakhs and a 3KW Solar Tree is for Rs1.60-1.70 Lakh, Whereas a 10KW Solar tree will for 9 Lakh Rs.

Competition
Big players like Adani, Tata, and Reliance are going to enter this space which will be giving direct competition to Powertree and this is why a team of this startup needs Sharks to invest in their company and be a part of their core team.
Since Solar Plants cannot be installed everywhere, as there are some parts of India where the sunlight does not come directly or throughout the year in huge quantities.
Plan
When Powertree was consulting the corporates about why they are not installing these Solar Power PLants then they got feedback that “If the corporates will install the Power Plant in 6 Acre Area then where will they do their business”
To this Problem, Powertree has proposed the corporates provide them with the space available on both sides of the road for Lease and there they will get investment to install Power Plants.
Strategy to make it big
This is going to be a scalable project according to the team of Powertree, as Cities in India are having a grant of 100-200 Crores in FIXED DEPOSITS and they are not doing anything from that money.
Cities are thinking to install EV Charging Stations, Creating small chargers to charge Vehicles and Generation of Oil from Solar.
